X-RAY CT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus improving the safety by providing an abnormality detecting means detecting abnormality of a tilt mechanism. SOLUTION: This X-ray CT apparatus is constituted of a support means 6 tiltably supporting a gantry body 1, the tilt mechanism 10 comprising a driving means 12 tilting the gantry body 1 and an energizing means 13 energizing the gantry body 1 in the direction of offsetting the dead weight of the gantry body 1, the abnormality detecting means 18 detecting the abnormality by the lowering of the energizing force of the energizing means 13, and a control means 21 warning an operator the abnormality based on an abnormal signal detected by the abnormality detecting means 18 and prohibiting the tilt operation. Even if something goes wrong with the tilt mechanism 10 during the long period of use, this constitution can previously prevent casual falling of the gantry body 1 due to abnormality of the tilt mechanism 10 and damage of the driving means due to overload to improve the safety of the X-ray CT apparatus.
