Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas insulated switchgear which is further scaled down so that it can be made in roughly the same size as that in the case where the user has used SF6 gas as conventional insulating gas, even if the user uses alternative gas of SF6 gas as insulating gas. SOLUTION: A sealed container 16 on power reception side and a sealed container 15 on bus side of the sections corresponding to a disconnector 4 on power reception side and a disconnector 6 on bus side are in the shape of ellipse where they are crushed vertically, and they are limited in height directions as compared with the case that they are constituted in a roughly right circle, and an arrestor 24 is arranged on a roughly virtual perpendicular while securing the interphase insulating distance for three phases in the axial direction of a main bus conductor 7, and the disconnector 4 on reception side is scaled down in the direction of opening and closing.
