OPTICAL SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device capable of emitting a high-intensity light toward immediately above thereof, and having high directivity. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device is provided with a semiconductor light-emitting device arranged on the upper surface of a substrate; a case to be arranged on the upper surface of the substrate so as to surround the semiconductor light-emitting device from the lower part of the substrate to an opening; and a lens formed at least up to such a predetermined height as to cover the semiconductor light-emitting device from the lower part of the substrate in a space formed by the case, and arranged on the upper part of a sealing section in a space formed by the sealing section having the upper surface made of a flat light transmitting material and the case.
