Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a variety of selections for a printing mode with consideration of printing speed and image quality. SOLUTION: The multipath system image forming apparatus is provided with: a plurality of developing units 110, 210, 310 and 410 which develop a plurality of electrostatic latent images by using one or more of a plurality of toners having polarities and hues different from each other by one development and complete a color image by at least two developments; an exposure unit 120 which forms the plurality of electrostatic latent images on a photosensitive medium; and an intermediate transfer unit 130 which superimposes and transfers toner images from the photosensitive drum 100, to form the color image.
