Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion apparatus having the function of being able to remove unburned hydrocarbons and formaldehyde from within a combustion gas. SOLUTION: The combustion apparatus (hot air generator) 1 in which a perforated flame-stopping plate 20 and a first mesh plate 21 and a second mesh plate 22 both positioned on the outside of the flame-stopping plate are arranged on the exit side of a combustion chamber 5 is provided. The first mesh plate 21 and the second mesh plate 22 are each 0.3 to 1 mm thick, have an aperture ratio of approximately 20-50% and have a maximum interval of about 15 mm, and at least one of the mesh plates supports a noble-metal catalyst.
