GLASS, AND PARTS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass obtained by adding a metallic compound-containing raw material to two or more kinds of glass raw materials, and whose surface can be provided with an metallic compound layer, to provide metallic compound-coated glass obtained by coating a glass surface with a metallic compound, to provide a metal-coated glass obtained by coating a glass surface with a metal, and to provide parts obtained by using them. SOLUTION: Prescribed amounts of starting raw materials to form into a base metal of glass and a raw material to form into a metallic compound film are weighed with an electronic balance, so as to be mixed. The mixture is melted with a crucible, and is cooled to form into glass. The surface of the glass is coated with a metallic compound by reheating, so as to produce metal-coated glass by metallization treatment.
