STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of maintaining the relative position of a housing to a mounting body during the non-mounting on a vehicle body without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: Two brackets 9, 9 having oblong holes 91, 91 and positioning recesses 92, 92 are formed in a lower end of a housing 2 to accommodate and support a steering shaft 1, pivots 3, 3 are fitted in and held by a mounting body 4 for pivotably supporting the lower end of the housing 2 by forming circular fit-in holes 42, 42 with the pivots 3, 3 fitted therein. Regulation pieces 31, 31 extending in the radial direction of the pivots and having hooks 32, 32 to be locked to the positioning recesses 92, 92 on their tips are integrated with one ends of the pivots 3, 3 to regulate the relative movement of the housing 2 to the mounting body 4 in the longitudinal direction of the housing.
