LIGHT DISTRIBUTION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light distribution control device capable of certainly making a light distribution direction of a headlight of a vehicle coincident with an advance direction of a road where the vehicle travels. SOLUTION: A control circuit 6 calculates the curvature of an image of a lane division line extracted by an image processing circuit 3, calculates a tangent angle of virtual circumstance corresponding to the calculated curvature and a control signal is outputted to a motor 5 such that the tangent angle and the light distribution direction (light distribution angle) of the headlight 2 are made coincident. Since the lane division line is indicated in parallel to the advance direction of the road the vehicle travels, the curvature of the image of the lane division line is coincident with the curvature on the road during traveling of the vehicle. The light distribution direction of the headlight of the vehicle can be certainly made coincident with the advance direction of the road during traveling of the vehicle by controlling the light distribution direction (light distribution angle) of the headlight 2 according to the curvature of the image of the lane division line.
