Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a process for manufacturing a continuously undulating ply from a ply of straight cords, in the manufacture of a tire. SOLUTION: The process and the device for the manufacture of an undulating ply (O) formed of a ply of a compounded rubber reinforced by reinforcement cords (R) arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction at a given pitch, in the undulating ply, the reinforcement cords (R) form wavy undulations in the transverse direction with a controlled amplitude and period in the plane of the ply. This device comprises a means for delivering, a means (1) for undulating a continuous straight-cord ply (D) and the reinforcement ply in the plane of the ply into a wavy form and a means (2) for adhering a supporting ply (B) in the longitudinal direction of the ply.
