WASTE MELTING TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste melting treatment method using blast furnace slag and converter slag as a basicity adjusting material and attaining the stable and continuous discharge of molten slag and the effective use of the slag as civil engineering materials. SOLUTION: In this waste melting treatment method for a waste melting furnace, waste is pyrolyzed in the melting furnace 10 to melt a pyrolyzed residue, and molten slag is continuously discharged while adjusting the viscosity of molten slag with the basicity adjusting material. At least one of blast furnace slag and converter slag is supplied as the basicity adjusting material into the melting furnace. The discharge quantity of molten slag is then measured, and the supply quantity of the basicity adjusting material is adjusted so that the discharge quantity of the molten slag is within a predetermined range or that the basicity of the molten slag is within a range of 0.6-1.2 or that the discharge quantity of the molten slag is within the predetermined range and the basicity of the molten slag is within the range of 0.6-1.2.
