Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Stirling refrigerator capable of materializing stable operation action and capable of being manufactured in a small size at low cost. SOLUTION: The free piston type Stirling refrigerator 1A is provided with a casing 2 filled with working medium, a cylinder 3 installed inside of the casing 2, a piston 4 fitted in the cylinder 3 and formed inside of the casing and compressing working medium in a compression space 7, and a linear motor 6 driving the piston 4. A wall surface 2a of the casing 2 of the free piston type Stirling refrigerator 1A and a piston side 4 side end surface of the displacer side cylinder 3b function as a stopper part preventing the piston 4 from deviating from a drive fore action range which is a range where drive force by the linear motor 6 acts on the piston 4.
