PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic that solves problems in conventional technologies, has excellent affinity for the skin, provides the skin with moisture and smoothness and hardly makes a user feel a smell like a conventional skin cosmetic formulated with a collagen hydrolyzate. SOLUTION: The skin cosmetic provides the skin with excellent moisture and smoothness similarly to a conventional hydrolyzate derived from skin and bone of bovine or swine or its derivative, has an excellent film-forming action and hardly makes a user feel a smell like a conventional skin cosmetic formulated with collagen hydrolyzate by using an unhydrolyzed keratin in which cystine in keratin is made into S-sulfonated cysteine.
