DEPTH VALUE CALCULATION METHOD AND DEPTH VALUE CALCULATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method capable of appropriately interpolating a subsurface structure. SOLUTION: The depth value calculation method comprises a first step of obtaining a residual gravity value of an interpolation point, a second step of obtaining a residual gravity value at a surrounding point around the interpolation point and a depth value to a predetermined layer in the stratum at the surrounding point, a third step of calculating a coefficient of a linear equation for defining the linear relation between the residual gravity value and depth value based on the residual gravity value and depth value at the surrounding point obtained in the second step, and a fourth step of calculating a depth value at the interpolation point based on the residual gravity value at the interpolation point obtained in the second step and the coefficient calculated in the third step.
