ROTATION SUPPORT MECHANISM AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation support mechanism which can perform rotation of a cover in the plane direction easily while the cover is overlapped on a main body, and an electronic equipment. SOLUTION: In the rotation support mechanism, the cover is rotated in the plane direction while being kept in the overlapped state from a closure position wherein the cover and the main body are overlapped on each other for closure. The rotation support mechanism includes: a plate secured to one of the cover and the main body; a base secured to the other of the cover and the main body; a pivotally support section for supporting the plate and the base in such a manner that they can rotate in the plane direction; elastic means having elasticity and connected to the plate at one end and to the base at the other end; and a rotation stop means which stops the rotation of the plate and the base in the opening direction by the elasticity of the elastic means at the closure position.
