METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HERMETIC ROTARY COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hermetic compressor manufacturable at low cost and having excellent productivity and high performance. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the hermetic rotary compressor comprises a cylinder block manufactured by processing a sintered material, a cylinder bore formed in the cylinder block and radial vane grooves led to the cylinder hole, a piston eccentrically rotating in the cylinder bore, vanes reciprocatingly moving in the vane grooves while bringing their ends into contact with the piston, a rotating shaft having an eccentric part for driving the piston, and having a main bearing and an auxiliary bearing closing the end face of the cylinder bore and pivotally supporting the rotating shaft. A land part formed of a flat surface slightly recessed from the end face and a sloped surface connecting the end face to the flat surface is formed at the end face corner part of the sintered material of the cylinder block. The land part is formed to be smaller at least at the cylinder bore portions and the vane groove portions than the other portions, and the land part formed smaller is removed in a cutting or grinding step.
