EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL MUFFLER FOR DIESEL ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control muffler for a diesel engine discharging exhaust gas produced by the diesel engine with muffling the same and sufficiently displaying purification performance by an exhaust emission control material. SOLUTION: This muffler is provided with an exhaust emission control part 1 provided near a center of the exhaust emission control muffler 20 and retaining the exhaust emission control material, and a partition plate 8 partitioning the exhaust emission control part 1 into an inlet muffling chamber 4 and an inlet space part 2 in an order from an upstream side and having a through hole 9 making communication between the inlet muffling chamber 4 and the inlet space part 2 formed thereon, and an exhaust gas introducing pipe 10 inserted in the muffler from an upstream side end surface 6, having a downstream side pipe opening 18 joined to the partition plate 9 and having a discharge hole 11 formed in a area penetrating the inlet muffling chamber 4. A bypass pipe 30 penetrating through the partition plate 9 and making communication between a pipe inside area of the exhaust gas introduction pipe 10 and the inlet space part 2 is provided.
