Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous polyurethane resin that can give moisture permeation performance to the resultant coated film by the side chain polyoxyethylene group belonging to the nonionic inner emulsifier and the hydrophilic and the hydrophobic properties are in balance, and moreover, can give the resultant film desired moisture permeability and strength and provide a coating material including the aqueous polyurethane resin. SOLUTION: A hydrophobic macropolyol comprising a polycarbonate polyol, a polyisocyanate at least including 4,4-methylene bis(cyclohexyl isocyanate), and a nonionic inner emulsifying agent having 2 or more active hydrogen groups or 2 or more isocyanate groups and having a polyoxyethylene group on the side chain are allowed to react with one another to obtain an isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer and then the resultant isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer is chain extended by using a chain extender having at least polyamine.
