Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decontaminating contaminated soil, by which hexavalent chromium-containing contaminated soil can be extracted. SOLUTION: The method for decontaminating contaminated soil comprises the steps of: throwing the contaminated soil 1 in a heat treatment apparatus 10; heating the thrown soil to ≥1,000°C; rapidly cooling the heated soil to ≤500°C in several seconds in a cooling apparatus 12 to crystallize/stabilize hexavalent chromium; and extracting the stabilized hexavalent chromium together with soil particles each having ≤74 μm particle size.
