Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight and strong shaft while effectively utilizing the characteristic of a titanium alloy having superelastic property in a golf club shaft formed by laminating carbon prepreg sheets coaxially. SOLUTION: The golf club shaft is formed by laminating the carbon prepreg sheets coaxially. In one or more of the carbon prepreg sheets, fullerene is blended into resin for adhering carbon fibers with each other. Between the layers of the carbon prepreg sheets, fibrous matters made of the titanium alloy having the superelastic property whose Young's modulus is ≤60 Gpa and whose tensile strength is ≥1,000 MPa are interposed. The 5 to 10 fibrous matters made of the titanium alloy are arrayed in parallel or obliquely with respect to the direction of a shaft axis and at regular intervals around the shaft axis.
