HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily know a position of a virtual sound source and a playback mode when performing surround playback, front playback and ordinary headphone playback using a headphone. SOLUTION: The headphone amplifier comprises a DSP 17 for performing signal processing so as to localize a sound image formed from audio signals of a plurality of channels at any one of a plurality of virtual sound source positions, and D/A converters 18L, 18R for inputting a signal processed by this DSP 17 to a headphone 90. The amplifier further comprises virtual sound source position switching means 17, 42 for switching virtual sound source positions formed from signals processed by the DSP 17, and position display means DLF-DRB, DLH, DRH for displaying a plurality of virtual sound source positions switched by these sound source position switching means 17, 42 and a position of a listener while linking a relation therebetween.
