Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate the need to plunge a rotor in attaching a lamp, to facilitate attachment and detachment operations of the lamp, and to allow the lamp to be surely attached, in a lamp socket. SOLUTION: This lamp socket 1 is provided with: a socket body 10 comprising a cover 2 and a body 3; the rotor 4; and a pair of conductive plates 5. The rotor 4 is rotatably arranged in an opening 2a of the cover 2 and a cam surface 4c of the rotor 4 is brought into contact with a cam surface 3c of the body 3. Lamp pins of the lamp are arranged in a lamp pin holding slot 4b from a lamp pin insertion slot 2b of the cover 2 when the rotor 4 is located at an insertion position. When a rotation operation is executed and the rotor 4 is rotated along with the lamp pins, the cam surface 4c slides on the cam surface 3c and the rotor 4 moves forward. When the rotor 4 is rotated to a mounting position, lamp holder surfaces 4a of the rotor 4 contact a base surface of the lamp to catch the lamp and the lamp pins contact the conductive plates 5 to allow the lamp to carry a current.
