Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate matter processing device capable of removing particulate matter included in exhaust gas exhausted from a diesel engine with high efficiency and suppressing increase of pressure loss of exhaust gas and oxidation of SO2in exhaust gas effectively. SOLUTION: This particulate matter processing device is provided with a plasma processing device 10 for charging particulate matter in exhaust gas by atmospheric pressure plasma and a catalyst processing device 20 for inducing the charged particulate matter in the exhaust gas G2 fed into from the plasma processing device 10 into a catalyst layer 22 selectively by an applied electric field to decompose and process it by catalyst action in the catalyst layer 22. The exhaust gas G4 of 90% or more of total flow rate of the exhaust gas G2 fed into the catalyst processing device 20 does not pass the catalyst layer 22 and passes a main flow passage 21 and is exhausted as it is.
