Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing thiolactomycin and 3-demethylthiolactomycin useful as a treating agent of infectious diseases and as an anti-obesity agent. SOLUTION: This thiolactomycin is produced by using 2,4-dimethyl-2,4-hexadiene carboxylic acid as a starting raw material, reacting with a prescribed oxazolidinone or thiazolidine-2-thione and forming a 2,4-dimethyl-2-thio-hexa-3,5-dienyl ester derivative after passing through several processes.
