PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic teller machine that can smoothly transact with ATM by using a contactless IC medium. SOLUTION: The automatic teller machine performs transactions of items selected by a user from a transaction selection screen G0 including a plurality of transaction items displayed on a display part. The automatic teller machine has: a cash handling mechanism for paying or depositing cash; a reading part for detecting a signal from IC of a contactless IC medium; a storage part for storing the information of the transaction selection screen; a display part for displaying the transaction selection screen read from the storage part; and a control part for controlling a transaction selection screen Gi including the plurality of transaction items for making the user perform selection for a specific transaction using the contactless IC medium so as to be displayed on the display part, prior to displaying the transaction selection screen G0, when detecting the signal from IC by the reading part. The control part is configured so as to control the cash handling mechanism according to the transaction items selected by the user from the transaction selection screen Gi.
