LASER MARKING PAPER, LABEL AND LABEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser marking paper for performing laser marking with no limited fixed marking region and a label and a label sheet employing the leaser marking paper thereon. SOLUTION: The label sheet 1, on which a label 11 for a drug container made of a laser marking paper is pasted, comprises a base material 2 containing a dark color base pigment such as carbon black or the like and a front surface coating layer 3 formed on the first surface 13 of the base material and a rear surface layer 7 formed on its second surface 14. The front surface coating layer 3 and the rear surface layer 7 are respectively formed of a bright color base aqueous coating paint containing a sensitizer for laser. On the rear surface side of the rear surface layer 7, a self-adhesive layer 8 is formed, and a releasing paper 9 is releasably stuck to the self-adhesive layer 8. By irradiating laser from the front surface coating layer 3 side, the paint in the region irradiated with the laser of the front surface coating layer 3 evaporates and is flyingly peeled off, resulting in exposing the surface layer of the dark color base base material 2 and a revealing the state, in which dark color base characters or the like are visually recognized.
