REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement structure of a vehicle body capable of increasing mounting strength of a torque box and that of a side frame by making use of conventional parts at a small cost. SOLUTION: The torque box 3 is connected to an outside part of the side frame 2 which has an opening upward and an almost U-shaped cross section. A reinforcement 7 is installed inside the side frame 2. On the top of the side frame 2 having the reinforcement 7, there is provided a lid plate 8 for blocking it. The lid plate 8 is extended toward the upper edge part of the torque box 3, thereafter the extension part 8a is joined to the torque box 3 by welding "a". COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
