Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instantaneous voltage drop compensator which can compensate voltage drop on an AC side at the instantaneous voltage drop of an AC power source to maintain the supply voltage to a load at a prescribed value. SOLUTION: In the instantaneous voltage drop compensator, an inductance L1 is connected in series between the AC power source 12 and the load 13, and an AC chopper circuit 14 is connected in parallel with the inductance L1. Then, the control circuit 15 starts the chopper circuit 14 when the AC power source 12 exhibits instantaneous voltage drop, and boosts and controls the chopper circuit 14 so that the supply voltage to the load 13 becomes a prescribed value.
