Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for antitheft, which senses a computer being the victim of robbery. SOLUTION: The system for antitheft comprises: a portable device, which is provided for communicating with a computer with the predetermined frequency defined by an antitheft function for the computer; and a scan rate controller, which automatically increases a scan rate for scanning radio communication signals in response to an increase of the distance between the portable device and the computer.
