VIRTUAL UART INTERFACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for virtualizing a device interface. SOLUTION: This method concerned in the present invention is a processor-based method for providing external data communication for an OS of a data processing mechanism, and includes a step for forming the UART interface as the virtual one by constitutive elements of the data processing mechanism operated outside OS control (502), a step for correlating each of the UART interface with the selected OS (504), a step for communicating a data between the UART interface and the correlated OS (506), by calling out a standardized hardware accessing software for the correlated OS, and a step for communicating data between the UART interface and a non UART device of the data processing mechanism(508).
