Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of being easily mounted by shrinking a mounting area while reducing a mounting cost. SOLUTION: The light-emitting device LE1 has a plurality of semiconductor light-emitting elements 1 and a laminated chip varistor 11. The laminated chip varistor 11 has a varistor element assembly 21, and a plurality of second external electrodes 27 and 28 formed on the external surface of the varistor element assembly 21. In the varistor element assembly 21, a plurality of varistors with varistor layers and first and second internal electrodes 31 and 41 arranged so as to hold the varistor layers are arranged along the specified direction. The second external electrodes 27 are connected to the first internal electrodes 31, and the second external electrodes 28 are connected to the second internal electrodes 41. The semiconductor light-emitting elements 1 are disposed on the laminated chip varistor 11, and connected to the second corresponding external electrodes 27 and 28 respectively so as to be connected in parallel with the corresponding varistor sections.
