VEHICLE PARTS CONFIGURATION SETTING SUPPORT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce the parts costs of a whole vehicle by optimizing the number of types of parts to be used for a vehicle constituted of a plurality of models scheduled to be sold. SOLUTION: A management server 5 as a computer is provided with a merchandise specification database 11 for storing the merchandise specifications of each model to be searched from a salability request for a vehicle and standard parts predetermined so that the merchandise specifications of each model can be satisfied and an interchangeability database 15 for storing interchangeability as the validity/invalidity of the replacement of the standard parts. The management server 5 performs optimization processing for optimizing the number of types of the parts of the whole vehicle based on the interchangeability of the standard parts for setting the parts configurations of the whole models of the vehicle so that the number of types of the parts of the whole vehicle can be optimized.
