SOLUTION: An ECU performs a program having a step for calculating a target deceleration by using a deceleration before changing a shift mode and the increasing rate of deceleration set by the driver when a shift lever is operated (YES in S104) to change the shift mode of an automatic transmission from an auto mode to a manual mode (S106), a step for setting the combination of such a gear stage that the target deceleration can be provided, the engagement state of a lockup clutch, and the state of fuel cut with each other (S108), and a step for controlling the automatic transmission, the lockup clutch, and an engine so that the set combination can be provided (S110).
