Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet which is low in cost, free from fluctuation in density and free from omission of dots, has high performance capable of obtaining an image of high density and resolution and can be manufactured at a high productivity, by solving deterioration in sensibility when pulp paper such as coated paper is used as a support, decrease in productivity and increase in costs when a laminated sheet of a biaxially oriented porous film and a core material is used. SOLUTION: A manufacturing process of the thermal transfer image receiving sheet consisting at least of an insulating layer 15 and an image acceptance layer 8 comprises the steps of forming the insulating layer made of a thermoplastic resin and a filler and an acceptance layer made of a thermoplastic resin by a melt-coextrusion method, stretching the layers to form a film laminated product. The filler used in the product has a particle size of 1-4 μm and a particle size distribution of not more than 15% of the filler particles having sizes not larger than 1 μm and not more than 15% of the filler particles having particle sizes not smaller than 3 μm according to the Coulter counter method.
