METHOD OF TESTING MEDICAL IMAGING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient, safe, and quick method for testing imaging systems such as a portable X-ray imaging system. SOLUTION: This method of testing a portable X-ray imaging device (12) includes: a step for sensing an environmental stimulus experienced by the portable X-ray imaging device (12); a step (32) for transmitting a signal related to the environmental stimulus to a processing unit (20); a step (34) for determining whether the signal meets the alert threshold; a step (42) for activating a detector (14) of the portable X-ray imaging device (12) when the signal meets the alert threshold; a step (42) for producing a gray image through the activating step; and a step for comparing the gray image with a control gray image corresponding a properly functioning detector (14).
