Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact resistant protective end cap for an endoscope which protects the end of the insertion portion of the endoscope against a strong impact. SOLUTION: The protective end cap for the tip of an endoscope is removably attached to the end 1a of the insertion portion so as to protect the end 1a of the insertion portion of the endoscope when the endoscope is stored. An inner cylinder 11 which engages with the end 1a of the insertion portion in a state of covering the end and an outer cylinder 12 arranged in a state of surrounding the inner cylinder 11 with a radial space with respect to the inner cylinder 11.
