COATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus enabling formation of a spherical coating layer having a smooth surface on an aggregated food, and improvement of efficiency in coating. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus is provided with the following: a transferring board 10 having a transferring surface 12 on which an aggregated food 50 is placed; vibrator vibrating the transferring board 10, and a jetting device 40 arranged above the transferring board 10 to jet a liquid coating agent 41 on the aggregated food 50. The coating device works as follows: the transferring board 10 is vibrated with the vibrator to feed the aggregated food 50 along the transferring board surface 10, and the liquid coating agent 41 is jetted using the jetting device 40 to form coating on the surface of the aggregated food 50. The transferring surface 12 is provided with groove parts 13, and the bottom surfaces of the groove parts 13 are provided with through holes 15 passing through the transferring board.
