VIDE SOUND RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE AND VIDEO SOUND RECORDING/REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video sound recording/reproducing method and a device capable of restoring compression video sound data and management information data which are abnormally finished to a reproducible state at high speed in a device for recording the compression video sound data and the management information data in separate files. SOLUTION: A video sound recording/reproducing device has a management information data re-creation part 113 which re-creates the management information data, a management information data reconstruction part 114 which deletes an invalid part of the management information data to reconstruct the data, a video sound data reconstruction part 115 which deletes an invalid part of the video sound data to reconstruct the data and a valid area detection part 116 which detects valid areas of the video sound data and the management information data, utilizes the valid ares of the data detected by the valid area detection part 116, creates only the management information data running short by the management information data re-creation part 113, deletes excess invalid data using the management information data reconstruction part 114 and the video sound data reconstruction part 115 to restore mismatching at high speed.
