Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To splice optical axes of an optical waveguide and an optical fiber with ease and accuracy in a method for manufacturing the optical waveguide module. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises: a die forming process (S1) for forming a die provided with a convex part for a core part and a convex part for a guide groove part; a substrate for molding forming process (S2) for forming concave parts for forming two or more optical fiber guide grooves together in the substrate for molding; a clad substrate forming process (S3) for forming a clad substrate provided with the core grooves and the optical fiber guide grooves by preparing a cladding material layer on the substrate for molding and pushing the die thereon; a waveguide forming process (S4) for filling up a core material in the core grooves in the clad substrate and curing the core material; a substrate cutting process (S5) for cutting the clad substrate into a waveguide block and an optical fiber fixing block; an optical fiber fixing process (S6) for fixing the optical fibers in the optical fiber guide grooves; and a block splicing process (S7) for splicing the waveguide block and the optical fiber fixing block together.
