SOLUTION: This gas bearing structure in which a reciprocating piston 14 is supported in a cylinder, comprises a gas jetting mechanism for jetting a gas from an internal space 147 of the piston toward an inner peripheral face of the cylinder through an injection hole 144 reaching the internal space 147 from a bottom face 143A of a groove portion discontinuously formed on an outer peripheral face 141 of the piston 14 along the circumferential direction of the piston 14. The groove portion is formed in such a state that the bottom face 143A of the groove portion reaches the outer peripheral face 141 of the piston 14 in the circumferential direction of the piston 14.
