Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-order system which has necessary and sufficient functions as a whole system and satisfactory operability while simplifying terminal function as much as possible, and is established at low cost. SOLUTION: This system comprises: pen-type scanners 2-1, 2-2 to 2-n reading and transmitting information of a commodity code in a menu including, in response to at least a commodity, the code showing information for specifying the commodity, to a controller 1, the scanners being adapted so that whether the transmitted information is regularly received by the controller 1 is confirmed; and the controller 1 performing delivery of necessary information with the pen type scanners 2-1, 2-2 to 2-n.
