Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical microscopic device which can be made compact, and a microscopic observation method using the optical microscopic device. SOLUTION: The optical microscopic device 1 includes: an illumination means 7 having a condenser lens 11 outputting light emitted from a light source 9 as converged light; a reflection means 13 reflecting the converged light output from the condenser lens to the illumination means side; an object-to-be-inspected placing table 3 which is provided between the illumination means and the reflection means and on which an object to be inspected is placed; and an objective lens 15 provided on an opposite side to the object-to-be-inspected placing table with respect to the reflection means. The converged light output from the illumination means and reflected by the reflection means is radiated to the object to be inspected. The reflection means has a light passing part 13a through which the light reflected on the object to be inspected passes, and the light reflected on the object to be inspected is made incident on the objective lens through the light passing part after it is converged on one point 23 in space between the reflection means and the object to be inspected.
