Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device for an air conditioner capable of automatically setting the validity and invalidity of operations of various operating states according to users, and allowing the user to change setting without special operation. SOLUTION: This remote control device comprises an operation input portion 11 for inputting various operation commands of an air conditioner, a radio communication portion 12 implementing radio communication with an available information storage card 3 storing the available information on available operation commands among the various operation commands of the air conditioner, and a setting means 13 for acquiring the available information from the available information storage card 3 through the radio communication portion 12, and setting the validity or invalidity of the operation command of the air conditioner input from the operation input portion 11.
