PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive sheet for a label capable of being stuck to the surface of a substance such as a raw meat of an animal (including fish meat) on which a liquid such as water oozes so as to be freely peelable without having an adhesive layer or a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; and to provide the label. SOLUTION: The sheet for the label capable of being stuck to the surface of the substance on which the liquid such as the water oozes by an adsorbing action so as to be freely peelable without through the adhesive layer or the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is a hydrophilic fine-porous film obtained by melt formation of the film, consisting essentially of a thermoplastic resin and an inorganic powder having ≥100 m2/g specific surface area, having open pores with ≤1 μm average pore diameter at least on the sticking surface side, further having the smooth sticking surface, and free from the adhesive layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
