Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing a hot-bending work by restraining the overturn and the camber of a flange in a metallic rod material having deformed cross section, such as H-beam steel. SOLUTION: When the H-shaped sectional metallic rod material 1 is hot-bent; in the cross section of a portion developing the bending deformation, the tip end parts 1ac, 1bc of the flanges 1a, 1b are heated at temperature higher than that of the center parts 1ac, 1bc connected with a web 1c so as to be easily plastically deformed, and thus, the tip end parts are deformed by easily following the center parts 1ac, 1bc restricted with the web 1c to prevent the overturn and the camber of the tip end part of the flange. Further, at the cooling time after bending deformation, different schedules are applied to the portions in the cross section and the cross sectional shape is deformed and thus, the cross sectional deformation developed at the bending deformation time, is reformed.
