Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a magnetic-separated scrap recovered from slag as a cooling material with which in the decarburize-refining of molten iron in a converter, even in the case of non-limiting the consumption of the magnetic-separated scrap, or even in the case of non-increasing the consumption of slag making agent, such as lime, phosphorus concentration and sulfur concentration in molten steel are not risen. SOLUTION: The slag generated in processes from a pretreating process for molten iron to a casting process for molten steel is separated into a molten iron based slag and a molten steel based slag and recovered. Then, the recovered molten steel based slag is crushed and after crushing, the recovered magnetic-separated scrap by performing the magnetic-separation, is charged and added as the cooling material in the decarburize-refining of the molten iron in the converter. At this time, it is desirable that this magnetic-separated scrap is used as the cooling material from the middle period to the end period of the decarburize-refining and the diameter of magnetic-separated scrap is 5-70 mm.
