METHOD FOR PRODUCING FRACTIONATED HIGHLY POLYMERIZED CYCLIC GLUCAN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fractionated highly polymerized cyclic glucan having a required degree of polymerization and a kit therefor. SOLUTION: The method for producing the fractionated highly polymerized cyclic glucan comprises the following processes: a process of forming an inclusion compound by adding a guest molecule for fractionation to the aqueous solution of a highly polymerized cyclic glucan, a process of separating a precipitate from a supernatant liquid and a process of recovering the highly polymerized cyclic glucan from the precipitate and/or from the supernatant liquid, solving the problems on this matter. The production of the same glucan having a required degree of polymerization is allowed through redistribution of the degree of polymerization by optionally adding a glucan transferase thereto.
