SHEET FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that changing a status of air blown to a sheet by a shutter member moving to the sheet loading direction requires a large space to the same direction and a size of a machine gets enlarged. SOLUTION: A sheet feeder is provided with an air-blowing unit 19 for blowing air to the sheet housed in a tray 17 and an air variable mechanism for changing the status of air blown by the air-blowing unit 19. An opening part 24A for letting the air pass to the sheet side is provided at a front wall part of the tray 17 and the shutter member 25 overlapping the opening part is movably supported to the direction X by guides 26A, 26B. A pinion gear 28 is rotated by driving of a motor 29 to move the shutter member 25 to the direction X, which changes the opening status of the opening part 24A on a flow passage of the air toward the sheet.
