PAPER TUBE CUTTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily cut a paper tube in a desired position by pressing the paper tube inserted in a casing by a lever 6 and cutting the same by a cutter fitted to a cutter mounting shaft parallel to the insert direction of the paper tube. SOLUTION: This paper tube cutter includes a cutting mechanism in which with the paper tube 1 inserted in a paper tube insert hole 15 formed at casing 2a, b held between a roller 7 at the tip of the lever 6 and the cutter 3, the paper tube or the cutter is manually rotated to cut the periphery of the paper tube while observing the paper tube 1 inserted through a peep hole 17 formed at the side wall of the casing 2a to confirm the cutting position of the cutter. The tip of the lever 6 in the casing is provided with two rollers, the lever is journaled to a fulcrum shaft 8, the tip 9 is put out of the casing, the paper tube is pressed between the roller and the cutter at the tip by the lever by a spring 10, and the paper tube is cut to a desired length depending on the thickness of document to be filed using the cutting mechanism.
