SOLUTION: In the ceramic honeycomb filter in which the desired passages of the structure blocked and at least one of the waste gas influx side blocking parts is arranged apart from the waste gas influx side end face, the porosity of the upstream diaphragm is larger than that of the exhaust gas influx side blocking part as compared with the downstream diaphragm.
