Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor structured of a laminate of an electrode sheet with an electrolyte impregnated and a separator hermetically sealed in a container which can keep the inside of the container airtight for a long time and easily discharge a gas generated in the container, even if a pressure in the container is relatively low. SOLUTION: The electric double-layer capacitor includes, in the container, a gas releasing means having an open/close valve which closes when no pressure or a pressure lower than a predetermined value is applied from the outside and opens when a pressure exceeding the predetermined pressure is applied from the outside.
